\nMuslone, Navazzo, Torrazzo, Villa, and Zuino. It can be happily defined as a town between two lakes: in fact, the main town and the hamlets of Villa and Bogliaco are lapped by Lake Garda and offer a typically Mediterranean landscape, while the Gargnanese hinterland gradually rises up the hill to include Lake Valvestino, an authentic fjord nestled between the mountains of the valley of the same name.
\nGargnano gives visitors an intimate atmosphere rich in history and art with its historic palaces and villas, remarkable religious monuments, and lemon gardens.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section i_icon_fontawesome=”fal fa-umbrella-beach” add_icon=”true” title=”Beaches” tab_id=”1700227433187-2258b077-e525″][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

Gargnano is an ideal place to spend a vacation of relaxation, nature, sun and lake. There is a choice of several beaches to suit your tastes and needs.<\/p>\n

These are generally not very wide beaches and all pebble and equipped with all kinds of amenities and for all ages:<\/p>\n

Fontanella<\/b> beach: small pebble and grass beach with free access. <\/span>There is a bar and restaurant on Fontanella beach.<\/p>\n

Gial beach<\/b>: a place with free access, ideal for animals. It is not a real dog beach but dogs are welcome.<\/p>\n

Lido<\/b> Beach: this is the busiest beach; it is free access, pebbly and fully equipped. Sunbeds, umbrellas, pedal boats can be rented, and parking is nearby.<\/p>\n

Giallo Limone Beach<\/b>: is a free-access beach, considered of the young, of those who want to experience the beach even until late in the evening. It is located at Via della Libert\u00e0 51 in Gargnano.
\nThe beach is pebbled and offers beach chair, umbrella, sunbed, pedal boat and canoe rental service; but that’s not all: it is also a beach bar, a hangout for young people.<\/p>\n

Spiaggia del Corno<\/b> is located in Bogliaco<\/b>, a hamlet of Gargnano just five hundred meters from the center, which can also be reached on foot. It is a free, very wide, pebble beach.<\/p>\n

Around Gargnano there are many localities and attractions to be reached even by a simple boat trip: Garda Island, Riva, Torri, Malcesine, Sal\u00f2 and its famous Saturday morning market, Valentesi where you can buy Garda Dop Olive Oil and Garda wines, or Maderno with its magnificent lakefront, from here also Navigazione del Garda provides for the transport of cars, buses and motorcycles, two Ferries that shuttle between Toscolano Maderno and Torri del Benaco , this service allows you to avoid the coastal roads that are very crowded in the high season.<\/p>\n

Boats and ferries offer numerous destinations on the Lombard, Veneto, and Trentino coasts.<\/p>\n

As the largest municipality in the Alto Garda Bresciano Park, Gargnano is the capital of Vela Gardesana and a popular destination for those who love the lake, nature, and unspoiled landscapes. Its mountainous hinterland is almost entirely covered by forests while the hills are home to small villages that are worth a visit. The atmosphere in Gargnano is Mediterranean, thanks to its olive trees, vegetable gardens, gardens, and ancient lemon houses.<\/p>\n

The port of Gargnano is overlooked by various buildings in some of which cannonballs are walled in to commemorate the naval bombardment suffered in 1866. Leaving the historic center, with its Traffegnini Town Hall from 1581, you can admire Villa Feltrinelli or Villa del Duce, which hosted Mussolini during the days of the Republic of Sal\u00f2.

\n<\/span>In the upper part of the village, on the state road, stands the neoclassical Church of San Martino del Vantini <\/b>, which contains the altarpieces of the ancient parish church. Then northward you reach the isolated Romanesque church of San Giacomo in Cal\u00ec<\/b>, the oldest building in Gargnano, with frescoes of the 14th-century Veronese and Trentino schools.<\/p>\n

As soon as one arrives in Gargnano, one notices the lemon houses<\/b>, tall pillars pointing skyward, all in a row, enclosed on three sides by white stone walls, evidence of a once unique and thriving economy, now museum relics kept alive by the Alto Garda Park<\/b> and a few lemon-growing enthusiasts. The lemon houses were built to make it possible to grow citrus in relatively cold climates. Around 1850\/1855, about half of the lemon houses on the entire Riviera were concentrated in Gargnano.

\n<\/span>Not to be missed, is Bogliaco, one of the most charming hamlets of Gargnano, where you can find: the <\/span>Marina di Bogliaco, which is a safe, welcoming and strategically located private harbor, the small historic center and free beaches, and the 18th-century Villa Bettoni<\/b> with its Italian Garden: <\/span>a monumental garden unique in all of Lombardy that embraces a villa that combines grandeur and grace to the highest degrees, all set among mountain peaks and the shores of Lake Garda<\/b> in one of its most beautiful stretches.<\/span><\/p>\n
